The pictorial cream buckram binding is a good copy of the original 1895 first edition and the facsimile electro engraved plates are very well printed on stiff card to closely resemble the original printing.

Top edge gilt. Additional frontis portrait, titles and the publisher's 6 page introduction followed by the facsimile of the original edition with x prelims, 236 pages, 14 electro etchings with tissue guards, a further 12 full page plates and numerous in-text illustrations.
