Map of Africa of late 16th century by the german cartographer Sebastian Munster (1488-1552) from his work "Cosmographia" edited in Basilea by Heinrich Petri.

His work "cosmographia" is the earliest German description of the world, was a great success so much that it was edited different times and translated in many languages.
