Blue Boards with gilt lettering. Signed by Professor Doke on front endpaper. Illustrated with 109 photographic plates. The book covers the 1936 Kalahari EXpedition. Professor Doke describes insight into the various aspects of the Bushman of this area, including the games, plays and dances of the Bushmen. As Doke declared "The Bushmans' capacity for imitation and mimicry is shown to wonderful advantage when he stages the hunting of the gemsbok or the killing of springbok by lions, or the fight between a baboon and a dog."
