William Blackwood & Sons, London. 1896 First Edition. 576 pp with 15 black & white illustrations and many illustrations in the text with fold-out map at rear.

In somewhat scuffed green half-leather binding with gilt title on spine; small descriptive sticker stuck down on front end papers. Prelims and rear heavily foxed from half-title page to title page very light foxing. Map at rear is foxed and has a tear.
