A beautiful book, celebrating outstanding moments from the late photographer's travels throughout Africa.
Included is a limited edition silver gelatin dark-room hand print signed by the Estate and by Master Printer Dennis da Silva. The print is from the book, titled Inner City Worship, and shot in Hillbrow in 2002. One of Crocquet's most beautiful and best known images from that period. The print measures 25cm by 20cm.
Laminated pictorial boards, and laminated pictorial dustwrapper housed in protector; unpaginated: 62 full-page, captioned monochrome photographs, several of which also have commentary by the photographer. Dust Jacket has a few very minor signs of wear but overall bright and clean. Book has slight bumps on the corners but overall in excellent unread condition. A Very Good to Fine copy.
Pierre Crocquet was tragically killed in a hit and run accident outside Groot Merico in 2013 at the age of 42.
