Original Official photograph of the M.C.C. Team which toured South Africa in 1948-1949. Signed on the mount by the entire team and management. The photograph meaures 24.5 x 18.5cms. and the mount is 37 x 37cms. Unframed. In very good condition. The signatures are all clear and unfaded.
The five match test series was won by the M.C.C. 2-0 - winning tests one and five by a small margin whilst the remaining three tests were drawn. The team included cricketing giants such as Len Hutton, Dennis Compton, Godfrey Evans and Alec Bedser. Here is the complete team:
