No jacket as published, red-maroon cloth-boards with gilt-lettering to the spine, plain endpapers, xii/451 pp of contents pages and other prelims, text illustrated with a folding distribution map and numerous b/w photographs, and an index of tribal names

  • Without light rubbing to the lower half of the upper board and a lightly discoloured front endpaper with ink signature (see images), this copy would have been rated fine overall
  • Complete, otherwise undamaged and undiscoloured and with the map and plates undamaged and in position
