Published by London, Jonathan Cape., 1957. 1st edition. FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE. 8vo (20 x 14 cm), pp.160. Illustrated with photographs. Publisher's black cloth with white titles to the spine in original dust-jacket illustrated by Denis Piper, priced at 12/6. Contents clean, edges slightly toned, jacket slightly sunned to spine and extremities. Very good. Ian Fleming's first non-Bond book, and also his first non-fiction work.

The Diamond Smugglers was written in collaboration with John Collard (under the pseudonym "John Blaize"), the MI5 agent who co-ordinated the elimination of a diamond smuggling racket in West Africa during the mid-1950s, and Sir Percy Sillitoe, the former head of MI5 and founder of IDSO.
