Lady Isabel Burton left for India with her husband Richard
in December 1875 and returned to Trieste in June 1876.
Her account is almost entirely devoted to the time spent in
India with shorter accounts of the voyages to and from,
including an interesting chapter on a stop to at Jeddah on
the way to India. Portions of the book are generally thought
to have been written by her husband.
