Queenstown is a town in the Eastern-Cape Province that was established in 1853 by Thomas Bowker. It was named in honour of Queen Victoria and at the period of its founding formed part of the Cape Colony. Today it is an important centre of education.

The book contains interesting photos of Queenstown during the Edwardian Period and is also an early example of Queenstown printing.
