First edition. xx, 612 pages, 15 fine hand coloured plates of the heads of mammals with captions on the tissue guards, 55 photographic illustrations in the text, rebound in half black morocco and light brown cloth boards, with gilt decoration and title on the spine, the top right hand corner is slightly scuffed, uncut fore edge and bottom edge, top edge gilt, marbled end papers, the contents are printed on coated paper with light foxing on the page edges and on some plates, a good copy.
