"Bell first arrived in Africa in 1897 and was renowned as

an elephant hunter, particularly in the Karamojo region

northeast of Lake Victoria. This book describes his fourth

safari into the region. Crossing the River Turkwel, he pursued

elephant near the Dabasien Mountains, through Karamojo,

then continued into the bush and swamp country west of

Lake Rudolf. One of the best of the more modern big game

hunting title [Czech. An Annotated Bibliography of African
