There is a Sir Richard Vyvyan book plate on the front paste down.

Bound with a light brown calf leather, marbled paper boards and gilt decorations and titling on the spine. xxiii prelims, 420 pages, 8 illustrations as called for, including the frontispiece and the two folding charts/maps. An image is provided of only the top part of a folding chart to give an idea of the condition at the folds.

CONDITION DETAILS: The hinges of the binding are starting to crack and the bottom of the spine is missing a small piece of leather and a piece of the top part of the spine is coming loose. The back free end paper is creased. Overall, the contents of the book are in good condition with some marginal notes in pencil and some age browning on the folding charts, especially at the folds.
