First edition. 320 pages, 8vo (240 x150 mm) frontispiece portrait, 3 illustrations, blue cloth starting to ripple on the covers, tiled gilt on the spine, a good copy in the dust jacket which is soiled and repaired with tape on the inside of the spine.

From the foreword: Sir Percy Fitzpatrick died on 24 January 1931. About a year before he died, in view of his failing health, he wanted to see his recollections which he had been writing out of his rich and varied experiences, published. Most of these recollections were dictated by Sir Percy to his secretary.
