This is No. 534 of 780 sets of 20 Volumes (complete), signed by Conrad on the limitation page of Vol. 1, Almayer's Folly and Tales of Unrest. In the original 1/4 cream cloth and beige paper covered board bindings with a facsimile of Conrad's signature in black on the front board of each volume. Fore and lower edges uncut. Patterned endpapers. Lacking the scarce dustwrappers. Condition: This is an attractive about very good set. The covers have slight age and use markings and internally the contents are fine, unmarked and unfoxed. Volume 20 (Suspense) has two fairly minor defects - a 4x1.5cm. loss of paper over the fore lower corner of the front board and the front inner endpaper hinge is just starting to crack for about 3cms. at the lower end. Please see the images provided and further images available on request. Due to my imminent downsizing, I am offering this set with an very attractive reserve price.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an extremely bulky and heavy set and as shipping abroad would be extremely costly, I am restricting the sale of this lot to buyers who can either collect the books from me in Johannesburg, or have them couriered within South Africa.

  • Binding Condition: Very Good
