Near fine. 2 folding frontis maps (Vol I stained / browned) 63 engraved plates (21 folding). Contents remarkably clean except for some age toning to the page edges and vol I of the title page.

Denon was the first to reveal the richness of Egyptian art to Europe, having worked in extremely difficult circumstances during Napoleon's Egyptian campaign' (Blackmer). Ibrahim-Hilmy 172.
