This lot comprises the following two first editions:
1. The Road Ever Goes On. Allen & Unwin. 1968. 1st. UK edition. 4to. 68pp. Poems and decorations by Tolkien and music by Donald Swann. In the original cream cloth boards with red lettering. Would be fine apart from a minor snag/bump along the top edge of both front and rear boards. In a very good plus unclipped dustwrapper which is a little age soiled and rubbed with a couple of short closed edge tears.
2. The Father Christmas Letters. Allen & Unwin. 1976. 4to. In the original decorated glossy boards without dustwrapper (as published). The Father Christmas Letters is a collection of letters written and illustrated by J. R. R. Tolkien between 1920 and 1942 for his children, from "Father Christmas". Owner's name on front free endpaper, otherwise an about fine copy.
