Not in Murphy & Goff. (Strange Collection 457 & Doke Collection, p. 196 [1st edition]) Uncommon. Obscure mission imprint. Swedish missionary J. A. Persson was the first transliterator into English of the Tshwa (ciTshwa or Tswa / Xitswa) language, spoken in a region west of Inhambane in Mozambique into southern Zimbabwe. Tshwa is sometimes considered a dialect of Tsonga. "While learning the language after coming to the mission field, like most beginners I started collecting words for a working vocabulary. This was all the more necessary since there was nothing in print to which I could refer when in need of a word. That which was begun because of dire necessity has been continued as a hobby, and the volume now offered to my fellow workers is the result of study and investigations carried on during twenty years." - From the author's preface
