The Namibian liberation struggle has been waged on political, diplomatic and military fronts. This publication deals with combat operations by the People's Liberation Army of Namibia, PLAN. Various combat missions are covered, names are mentioned of soldiers involved and commanders who lost their lives in battle. Tables list attacks on military bases and secondly dates names and places where battles took place against the South African Forces. Many pictures document the bloody war fought for independence and also SWAPO women’s movements involved in the armed battle for liberation.
Namakalu went in exile in 1979 in Angola, where he joined other SWAPO freedom fighters and underwent basic military training as an infantryman.
