The Collector's de Luxe Edition: 144 pages, oblong folio (310 x 425 mm), coloured map as frontispiece, 19 colour plates, numerous black & white illustrations from old photographs, sketches and engravings, 17 battle maps, bound by Peter Carstens in half maroon morocco with marbled paper sides, maroon cloth hinges, contained in a matching cloth and marbled paper slip case (the slipcase has a narrow strip running down one side that has been sun faded), a very good copy.

This Collector's Edition de Luxe Edition is limited to 250 copies of which this is number 5 signed by the artist (also signed on the title page).

Among the 18 battles described and illustrated with colour plates, black & white illustrations and battle maps are Blouberg, Isandlwana, Rorke's Drift, Ulundi, Majuba, Talana Hill, Magersfontein, Colenso, Spioenkop and Bergendal.
