A complete set of the prolific Afrikaans author's magisterial work on the early years of the establishment of the European settlement at the Cape of Good Hope. Schoeman was a recluse who spent all his time researching, writing and avoiding appearances in public. This set is the culmination of a lifetime's work. Initially planned as a five-volume series, his writings ended up filling eight volumes! In time this set will prove to be a most valuable addition to any collection of africana. I have added the English translations of the titles in the descriptions.
