Dr Helen Robinson, was born in 1930 in Sea Point. She began her career as a lecturer specializing in communication and drama at a university according to Sabinet African Journals. She also has a background as a Cape Town historian and author. Her published works span over five decades, with her first article appearing in 1929 and her last in 1985, and she authored more than 130 scholarly works. Her books often focus on the area around the east side of Table Mountain.
