From the introduction: ‘Dierama most commonly known as Hairbells in Africa is a genus of the Iris family and is notable for its tall graceful flowering stems that divide at the top into a number of usually pendulous flowering branchlets. The name Dierama gives continued currency to an ancient Greek word meaning a funnel.
