Publisher's red illustrated thick card covers.

123pp. Written and illustrated by C. W. Shackleton.

There is some age-associated wear on the covers. Internally the book is clean except for the occasional marginal note in either pen or pencil. These appear to be from an individual who was on the same campaign. For instance, at the top of page 72 there is an asterisk in pencil next to the line where the author relates how the troops received only two cigarettes each as "comforts", and on the bottom margin a short note in pencil, "I got 2 and a half cigarettes at this place and 8 raisins. I traded the cigs for sugar."

A scarce publication.
