Original dark red cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. x prelims, list of illustrations, map, followed by 254 pages. The black and white illustrations are from art work by the author, H.R. Millais and from photographs.
CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a little edge wear, a mark on the spine where a library mark was removed, and a bit of sunning. The end papers are browned. The is some foxing/spotting throughout.
