First Edition: xii, 308 pages, aquatint frontispiece, contemporary dark green cloth with a red leather title label on the spine, edges uncut, complete with the half title page which has a publisher’s list on the verso, bookplate on the front paste-down endpaper and a corresponding small stamp below the date on the title page. The cloth shows signs of an old repair, light foxing on the endpapers, frontispiece and title page, otherwise the contents are bright.
