Ernest Cole (1940-1990) is considered as one of the greatest photographers of the apartheid era. He fled South Africa for New York in 1966 with his photographs and published House of Bondage in 1967. Black and white photographs throughout.

The dust jacket is slightly worn on the spine and at the corners, and there is a closed tear to the top front of the jacket. Price-clipped dust jacket.
