HUNTING BEASTS AND MEN

Philip Harvey Combe, Regimental # 2455, served in the British South Africa Police from March 24, 1922 to April 15, 1925.

The book details Combe's life after leaving England, becoming a storekeeper and professional hunter in Central Africa.

It covers his time with the Rhodesian Mounted Police (B.S.A.P), hunting various big game (buffalo, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, antelope) and his experiences in law enforcement. It also describes encounters with mutinous guides and finding a secret diamond field.
