A very nice copy of this important South African autobiography by Helen Suzman who was an anti-apartheid activist and politician. She was the sole elected member of the Progressive Party in Parliament for many years, earning international esteem for her courage and persistence. This copy bears a warm signed inscription by theauthor, dated Dec 1993, on the title page. 2pp. introduction by Nelson Mandela, who became her close friend. Errata slip loosely inserted as called for.

Pages toned as is normal for this title, otherwise an about fine copy in the original dustwrapper.
