71pp. Softcover binding, vintage design and illustration on front cover. Several monochrome photographs of government officials. Various vintage advertisements throughout. Condition: Fair. Some rubbing and small creasing to covers, wear and open and closed tears to spine, small open tear and stain to rear cover, very small closed tear to last page, with almost no text lost. Some wrinkling and stains to bottom edges and bottom corners of pages. Text still clean.

 

Published in 1931, the sale of this booklet of popular songs of the day was aimed at alleviating the plight of Port Elizabeth’s unemployed citizens during the Depression. A scarce item.
