Original watercolour on art board by Abbé Henri Breuil which was used as the frontispiece for his work titled "The Tsisab Ravine and other Brandberg Sites" published in 1959.
Abbé Breuil gifted this artwork to former South African diplomat Jeremy Shearar back in 1961 when Shearar was working as a secretary at the South African embassy in Paris.
It is inscribed by Breuil to Shearar at the bottom right corner, "À M. Shearar, Secretaire à l'Ambassade Sud-Africaine à Paris, H. Breuil, 11.1.61".
The artwork is still in fine condition.
