Brenthurst Press Second Series, volume 4 & 5. The Standard Edition limited to 850 copies.

Perhaps the most important of the volumes produced by the Brenthurst Press to date. Gordon, a Dutchman of Scottish descent, can be considered as the most prominent of the eighteenth century travellers in southern Africa. He made five journeys into the Cape interior penetrating further than any other known predecessor or contemporary.
