8vo (18.8 x 12.6 x 3.4cm) 319pp. Original hardcover binding with scarce dust jacket. Gilt lettering to spine.

Diary of an Afrikaans woman called Tant' Alie, translated from 'the Taal' into English by Emily Hobhouse, famous for her humanitarian work in South Africa during the Boer War. Comes with the scarce dust jacket.

Condition: Very good. The dust jacket has some small chips to to top and tail of its spine, and top and bottom corners of the flaps. Stain to the spine of dust jacket. Dust jacket has been covered with protective plastic. A few small creases to top corners of some pages. A few minor stains to the top and bottom of the textblock. A well bound copy, internally clean.
