The first printing of Arthur Conan Doyle's third and most famous Sherlock Holmes novel. It appeared as a serial in The Strand Magazine from August 1901 to April 1902 and was then published in its entirety by George Newnes in March 1902.

The illustrations were done by Sidney Paget and the one titled "The Shadow of Sherlock Holmes", which first appeared here in chapter ten, was later used as the famous frontispiece for the book.

Here are the two bound volumes of The Strand Magazine wherein The Hound of the Baskervilles was first serialised. Each volume contains six consecutive monthly issues and the chapters appear as follows:
