78 pages, bound in quarter brown leather with marbled paper sides with the original grey paper wrappers bound in. Bookplate and signature of T.M. Hocken on the front endpapers. Hocken’s signature also appears on the front wrapper and title page.

A newspaper cutting of a letter by Hocken to the Japan Herald, dated Yokohama, Nov. 2nd.1901, discusses his plans to raise funds for the restoration of Adam's grave '...on the summit of that hill behind Yokohama'. He subscribes five Yen to start the appeal.
