Bophuthatswana was a former Bantustan in the north of South Africa covering a surface area of approx. 40,000 square kilometers. It consisted of seven separate landlocked areas and was established to accommodate the Tswana-speaking people of South Africa. It became an independent republic in 1977 and after the South African general election in 1994 was reincorporated as part of South Africa.
A very good copy housed in the original slipcase.
