Churchill's ability as a writer, or as a painter
far out-weighted his military ability. His early military
career was nothing short of a disaster and helped
contribute to countless and unnecessary deaths.
With the outbreak of the Second World War his
past was soon forgotten as he morphed spectacularly
into the role of statesman and saviour.

"From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic
an Iron Curtain has descended across the Continent."
These prophetic words were part of a speech Churchill
gave in 1946 at Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri, USA.
