A very uncommon first edition of Fritz Metzger's beloved, and now classic, collection of Bushman and animal fables. The author was a farmer in South West Africa who, at the age of 41, had the foresight to write down all the colourful tales he heard from his Bushman farm workers and cattle herders. Translated into English only a few years ago, these stories have remained popular as evidenced through their numerous reprints.
A scarce book printed and published in Windhoek, South West Africa.
