A Russian soldier's account of the SWA/Angola Bush War. Lieutenant-Colonel Igor Zhdarkin served as a military interpreter in Angola in 1986-1988 with Angolan brigades which fought UNITA and the South African Defense Force, and in Mozambique in 1990-1991. He was liaison officer in the UN peace-keeping missions in Angola in 1996-1998.
