One of the earliest publications on the concentration camps of the Second Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902). The author was a chaplain for women and children in the Bethulie concentration camp in the southern part of the Orange River Colony. In this diary he recorded the deaths of women and children brought on by the unhealthy living conditions in the camp.
