First edition published in Cape Town by T. Maskew Miller in 1901.

Publisher's blue cloth binding with titles in gilt of front panel. Very good condition.

SABIB gives the following details as to the dating of this item:

"Publisher's address is given as 96 Adderley Street, Cape Town. This changes to 120 Adderley Street in directories from 1903 onwards. According to SESA, branches of the firm were established in Bulawayo and Pretoria in 1901" - SABIB Vol.I, page 468.

Album of 48 photographic views of South Africa with explanatory captions.

Landscape format 25 x 19cm. Publisher's brown boards with art nouveau flower design and titles on front board.

Some age wear along the spine, clean internally. No date but copies are known with ownership inscriptions dating from as early as 1902.
