1. Boer War Tribute Medals

  • Standard edition limited to 1500 copies, numbered 210-1700 of which this is #1289.
  • Scuffing to dustjacket at the front top corner at the head of the spine hinge.
  • Light foxing to the end-papers.
  • Retailer's penciled pricing to the second free end-paper.

2.The South Africa 1853 Medal

  • Small scar to dustjacket top back corner.
  • Map illustrated end-papers.
  • Light foxing to the end-papers.
  • Loosely inserted is an Addenda and Corriegenda which had previously been taped to the fore-edge of the front end paper resulting in a stripe of tape-burn along this edge.
  • 155 pages - full text.

3. South African War Honours and Awards 1899-1902

  • Dustjacket has two closed tears of 4cm and 2cm to the front face top edge.
  • Stripes of tape burn to the flyleafs with feint transfer to the endpapers.
  • Offset to the endpapers.
  • Lower board edges lightly nibbled.
  • Double-sided frontispiece plate depicting the medals.
  • 132 pages with unpaginated sections following with Announcements Gazetted from Oct. 31st 1902 to March 6th 1903: Honours & Promotions; Errata; regimental Casualties etc.
  • Very occasional marginalia.
  • Originally published in 1902 by the Army and Navy Gazette. this edition published by Arms and Armour Press, London, 1971.
