[KENTUCKY]. Senator Alben William Barkley.  Three signed typed letters, 1938 & 1939, responding to inquiries regarding a woman from a prominent KY family's submission of a design for the U. S. Post Office stamp commemorating the World's Fair of 1939., deftly passing the matter on to Postmaster General James A. Farley, who saw that the letter was handled by Ramsey S. Black, Third Assistant Postmaster General, who, in turn, attaches a 1p. broadsheet offprint of his detailed description of the New York World's Fair Commemorative Stamp.
