Detailed history of events in and around Springfontein town, 150 km south-west of Bloemfontein, 46 km east of Philippolis and 38 km north-west of Bethulie. The town is best known as the site of a concentration camp for Boer women and children. Two kilometres south-east of the town is a graveyard for nearly a thousand people who died during the war.
