Book description: Facsimile reproduction of the first edition of 1895, with additional front piece and Publishers introduction. 236 pages, Collector’s Edition numbered from 1-50 of which this book is number 5, there are 12 b/w electro etching plates which are printed on a very heavy board and protected with tissue paper, numerous text illustrations, bound in brown leather with gilt text and design along the front and rear boards as well as to the raised spine. The book is presented in a brown cloth and paper slipcase.
Book condition: internally clean, slight foxing on the reverse of some of the plates and tissue paper, light foxing on the title page, the binding is tight and square, boards are beautifully bound in brown leather with gilt decorations, some of the gilt has lightly spread across the boards, minor bowing to the front and rear board. Slipcase condition: Very good, a soft material has been placed along the inner lining of the slipcase for additional protection.
