First Edition Hardcover Quarto, bound in red cloth boards with 345 pages, top edges gilt. Gilt title and decorative gilt motif on the front board, also has gilt titling to the spine.
Head/heal are bumped and rubbed with some light wear along the edges/corners. Front/back boards have some marks, spine is a slightly sunned.
Illustrated with 18 black and white plates, with a fold-out map towards the back, this is a scarce book, hunting and soldiering in Kenya and Uganda. Small stein on the left paste-down, overall, the book is very sturdy and is in very good condition.
