A fine album documenting the life, friends, relations and travels of Hildegarde & Eugen Becher. [Various locations:] 1909-1914. Oblong quarto (7 x 10in; 178 x 254mm). 139 photographs, mounted recto and verso of 49 black thick paper leaves, captions to most images (one photo loosely inserted, some toning, some leaves loosely inserted, one leaf detached and with section excised). Contemporary dark brown leather binding (worn, spine and lower cover lacking). Provenance: Hildegarde D. Becher (later inserted note "from the esatte of Hildegarde D. Becher, Utica, NY").

A lively and well-presented album chronicling Hildegarde & Eugen Becher's life in New York City, its environs and elsewhere.
