A fine album of photographs by Arndt, recording his life and times: disasters (the March 1913 Great Flood in Ohio; September 1913 fire in Hot Springs, Arkansas; the wreck of a 'coal unloader' in Milwaukee; burnt out buuildings), friends (and family, both from College and the firms for which Arndt worked), colleges (Pittsburg University, University of Wisconsin, University of Chicago, Ohio State University) , professional life, vacations and outings (Niagara Falls, Columbus Auto Races in 1912, Electrical Engineers football team, powerplant at Sears, Roebuck, & Co. in Chicago, various other interior views of generating plants). [Various: 1912- 1928]. Oblong folio (9 x 13 3/4in; 228 x 349mm), 42 black thick paper leaves, 28 of which are mounted with circa 247 photographs by Arndt (and others?), many with accompanying explanatory captions. (A few leaves deatached and loosely inserted). Contemporary limp leather binding (damage to exytremities)

An enthusiastitc and gifted amateur photographer, Arndt here offers a lively record of his life as he trnsitioned from student to professional life in the Mid-West.
