Book Condition: Very good. 1st edition. Designated book series number 'I.D.1216' prepared by the Geographical Section of the Naval Intelligence Division, Naval Staff, Admiralty. A fascinating handbook containing details of every aspect of Kenyan life for the colonial resident and administrator. Internally this copy is in an excellent condition with the large folding map bound in at the rear end-paper. The spine is faded and there is a 2 x 1cm piece of cloth missing at top of spine. The title page is present, but the two succeeding preliminaries have been neatly trimmed off, and are missing. 'Survey Department Library' stamp on verso of title page. No date on the title page, but '1920' gilt-stamped at foot of spine.
