An account of nearly ten years spent hunting in Matabeleland and Mashonaland and exploring the Chobe River from 1872 to 1881. Although Selous was highly regarded as a hunter, he also made a valuable contribution to the records of animal life in Africa. he later became a hunting partner of President Roosevelt who had a very high regard for him. Selous was killed on active service in East Africa in World War I.

The book is in Very Good condition.
